Mercury Gas Door Detail

Classic car on the street.  I'm guessing a 50s era Mercury sedan.  Interesting gas door detail.

I'm rusty on post processing.  (Was it ever a strength?)  So, somehow I ended up with details of the reflections in the body color standing out more than I intended.

Oh well.  Try again tomorrow.

Hippy Volkswagen Bus

I have been thinking a lot about photo composition and what good elements of it are.

Here is a photo I liked recently of an old, painted VW bus.

To me, the red slash leads the eye to the lights, then the line of the hatch further directs the eye down and the to yellow bumper line directs you to the smashed part.  I don't very much like having the hatch line there the longer I look at it.

In spite of straightening the photo in processing, I feel unsettled about how it looks like the top leans in and somehow the piece still looks crooked.

Try again tomorrow.

Stone Wall With Window

From our Mother's Day hike with the family in Forest Park.  This stone cabin ruin is usually our turning around point.  I decided to use the old camera layer along with a blur layer.

Dogwood Days of Spring, The Sequel

We are getting into the next phase of blooming dogwood in the Pacific Northwest.  These dogwood trees flower all summer. The flowers are fresh right now--newly bloomed.  They get looking pretty ragged looking by late July.  Ah, Oregon!

Local Resident Decorates His House

Moku Hanga makes this birdhouse look more like an artist painted flourishes around the entrance.  Actually, it's bird poop.  You can't fly a few branches away to take care of business?

Rain And Roses

After a long dry spell, some rain.
Okay, I know this one below isn't a rose but whatever it is, I love it!
